Taking measurement in reloading & casting bullet can be helpful at time. Most work fine if used correctly, even cheap plastic ones for OAL and Bullet diameters. The feeler gauge is great for checking the gap between the cylinder & barrel of a revolver. .004" to .009" is OK.
