The lube can build up inside your seating die, changing COL.. In an auto loader, the chamber can get a build up also, causing the slide to not fully close. After 130 rounds fired, my 45 needed cleaning, but not till my test run is done of 200. Xlox was used on these, its said to be the same as Alox from Lee. After 2 coatings the bullets do not look the same as when the Xlox was newer by 6 month. It was applyed the same using Lee instructions to heat the container in hot water. The lube was working as the muzzle was wet with a small amount of lube. The leading seems to be caused by to hard an alloy, from heat treating?? When water droppng from the mold in other tests, there was no leading. But oven treating works much better, making a harder bullet. At least my thumb nail thinks so. It will have to do, i am not buying a hardness tester after 40+ years of casting.
