Skidding

When a cast bullets alloy is to soft for the velocity/pressure, the bullet will skid. The groove mark on the bullet will get smaller as it skids. This bullet has a gas check and should help keep leading low, plus help control the skid. But this 44mag has another problem. The throats diameter in the cylinder is smaller than the barrels groove diameter. This means the bullet is undersized and can not take the rifling correctly. A gun smith can open the cylinder throats to the correct diameter by reaming.
